Here we are, diving back in with the freshly unveiled Batch 23A. This batch is a revelation. The aroma is richly fruity, a characteristic some felt was lacking in recent batches. Notes of sacramental wine, simmered cherries, and sweet oak evolve into hints of Boylan black cherry and grape sodas as it breathes. Impressively, there's minimal ethanol presence despite its 130.2 proof. An empty glass exudes a scent reminiscent of room-temperature NuGrape soda. And even with its sugary undertones, it's not overly sweet.

On tasting, there's a unique earthiness. It offers flavors of lightly smoked maraschino cherries and maple syrup. The texture is sticky, and its relatively short finish makes it surprisingly easy to drink – a testament given its high proof. This bottle was emptied in just a month.
